Things have been quite busy around these parts lately. My apologies for a lack of updates, I've just been trying to keep myself busy and not get sucked in to the internet which we all know is a very serious possibility. So to keep myself entertained I: planned all the things I want to bake in the next week (mostly just more banana bread and chocolate chip cookies), caught up on some television, spent lots of time with Bun, had brunch with Regan, read Bossypants, Girl & some other book I can't remember, ate several bowls of cereal, talked to my grandma a lot, went to Sarah's and had delicious hamburgers, hung out at Erin's, saw Paul (the movie...it was decent), and talked with my mom. I mean there were other things that happened, some things I'd rather not share but that's the gist of it. Currently Kyle is watching Hot Fuzz, I'm doing some detective work and Bun is tearing up a box with gusto.

Hope everyone has a delightful weekend. I'm hoping for a walk in the park, some brownies, a good episode of SNL & perhaps a tiny road trip.

Happy Friday

Sad news, we thought our cable and internet situation would be fixed as of tomorrow, however, our appointment was rescheduled for NEXT Saturday, so for now, I will only be able to update and check my e-mail during the work day. It's really not that big of a deal, but I hate missing my shows! I especially hate missing The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Chuck, HIMYM, and SNL. I guess I will just have to go steal internet from somewhere else! We actually have another busy weekend ahead of us, so I guess it will be good to not be distracted by the television. Tonight we are going over to Amber & Nan's new place to celebrate Brian finding a job (and leaving us all), so we are having what they refer to as A PBRty (PBR party), so that should be interesting. Saturday we plan on setting up our studio, which should be loads of fun and lots of hard work. I feel like we have a million other things to do, but I haven't bothered to write anything down, so I suppose we will just wing it! Anyway, hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Weekend Update

I had a pretty excellent weekend. Spent Friday night with my roommate/friend Nan at Black Sheep where her boyfriends band (The Timmys) played a show. Saw an old friend and was a bit disappointed that we didn't have more time to catch up. Hopefully she will be back in town sometime soon. Saturday morning I woke up and had a package from Dressing On The Side sitting on my front porch. These shirts are without a doubt the softest I have ever owned. I didn't want to take them off all weekend! Saturday Kyle & I went to look at a house and we drove past the house we really want to rent. Still haven't heard back from the owners and I have a feeling I probably won't. Oh well, something will come along! We also rented some movies this weekend that I have been waiting to see- The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest & Howl. I'm not sure how I felt about either one of these films. I'll think about it and perhaps write up a little something on both of them later. Sunday night Kyle & I watched the SAG Awards, which were fairly predictable. I love me some awards shows but so far they haven't been very exciting. I also finished Everlost by Neal Shusterman. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and would love to give it to my little sister to read. So all in all a fairly pleasant weekend. I leave you with this:

I love John Waters almost as much as I love SNL.
